Description
The tinkerBOY Amiga Drive Selector is a switchless mod for Amiga to automatically switch or boot between the internal DF0 and DF1 drives. Pressing the reset keys on the keyboard for about 2-3 seconds will toggle between DF0 and DF1. Also, it works with a Gotek drive.
Unlike any other Amiga Boot Drive Selector which disables the internal drive when booting from the external drive, the tinkerBOY Amiga Drive Selector enables both drives so you can use them when booting from internal or external drive. It’s a great way to copy files using XCOPY from/to the internal DF0 or external DF1.

What’s included?

Installation:
- Open up your Amiga and carefully remove the EVEN CIA chip (8520) from its 40-pin socket.
- Plug in the EVEN CIA chip you removed into the 40-pin socket on the tinkerBOY Amiga Drive Selector like this.
- Finally, plug in the tinkerBOY Amiga Drive Selector into the 40-pin socket on the Amiga motherboard where you removed the EVEN CIA chip like this.
How to switch/boot between DF0 and DF1 drives? While your Amiga is turned on, press the reset keys(Ctrl + Amiga + Amiga) on the keyboard for 2-3 seconds.

Works great with my Amiga 500!

I tested this an Amiga 500 with three external floppy drives.
All floppy drives remained accessible, df0 and df1 were successfully switched and df2 and df3 remained where they were and were accessible. This is awesome!
Caveat: I only accessed the drives with Diskmaster, I didn’t play any games.
Also nice: the selected boot drive was indeed remembered even after power had been disconnected. This is awesome! Thanks
